No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to authorize the county commissioners court to set the salary of an official court reporter of a district court of a judicial district that is composed only of a single county.

Provisions of the bill would apply only to the salary of an official court reporter set on or after the effective date of the bill, which would be September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
