No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code relating to appeals in cases under the Federal Arbitration Act. The bill would allow a person to appeal certain court judgments or orders to the extent the appeal is permitted under the Act. To the extent the bill would amend court proceedings, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
