SB1274 by Van de Putte (Relating to the definition of compounding in the preparation of a drug or device by a pharmacist.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Occupations Code to exempt the reconstitution of commercial products or the addition of flavoring to a commercial product from the definition of compounding with respect to pharmaceutical products.

 

Based on information provided by the Board of Pharmacy, it is assumed that costs related to the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be covered by utilizing existing resources.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
