No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practices and Remedies Code by adding Chapter 25 relating to juries.  The bill would direct the supreme court to promulgate rules relating to jury procedures for trials in Texas in accordance with proposed guidelines.  To the extent the bill would require the supreme court to promulgate rules or amend court procedures relating to juries, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
