SB1325 by West, Royce (Relating to the eligibility of relatives of public college and university board members to receive certain scholarships; providing a criminal penalty.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under provisions of the bill, a person is not eligible to receive a scholarship originating from and administered by an institution of higher education if the person is related to a current member of the governing board of the institution unless certain conditions are met. The bill would also provide for a criminal penalty. The Higher Education Coordinating Board would be able to implement provisions of the bill within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
