SB1365 by Williams (Relating to the regulation of staff leasing services.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the regulation of staff leasing services to change the existing measure of licensee financial strength from net worth to working capital and modify the application requirements for the registration of staff leasing services.

 

Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, it is assumed that costs related to the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be covered by utilizing existing resources.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
