The bill would amend statute and provide that a vehicle rental company may not refuse to rent to a person because of age or because that person does not have a valid credit or debit card if that person presents a valid military identification card indicating that the person is a member of the
A rental company that violates this section is liable to the state for a civil penalty of not more than $1,000.00 for each violation. The Office of the Attorney General is authorized to bring suit to recover the civil penalty.
