SB1415 by Hinojosa (Relating to the authority of the attorney general to employ and commission peace officers.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill amends the Government Code and provides that the Office of the Attorney General may employ commissioned peace officers for the purposes of engaging in fugitive apprehension efforts and programs. Any additional cost associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
