No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create a 15-member task force appointed by the Lieutenant Governor, the Speaker of the House, and the Governor, to establish a strategy for reducing child abuse/neglect and improving child welfare.  The members would be entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses as provided by Chapter 660, Government Code, and the General Appropriations Act.  The task force would would be abolished on September 1, 2009.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
