No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the cancellation of voter registrations for persons who are not citizens of the United States. The bill also would require that written summonses for jury duty inform a person that by claiming a disqualification or exemption based on the lack of citizenship or lack of residence in the county, the person might no longer be eligible to vote in the county.
The bill would be effective September 1, 2007.
