SB1524 by Wentworth (Relating to the protection and preservation of caves in the State of Texas; providing penalties. ), Committee Report 1st House, As Amended

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would enhance the protection and preservation of irreplaceable formations in caves and to increase the deterrent effect of penalties for violations.

The bill increases the penalty from a misdeamenor to a state jail felony in certain circumstances.
