No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) no later than November 1, 2007, to transfer to Burnet County real property described by the bill. Burnet County shall use the property transferred under this Act to benefit the public interest of the state. The bill further requires that if Burnet County uses the property for any other purpose, ownership of the property automatically reverts to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
The TDCJ and the General Land Office have determined that the costs associated with implementing the bill are not anticipated to be significant.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local governments.
