SB1558 by Hinojosa (Relating to the punishment of certain persons who commit the offense of assault or aggravated assault.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code to include offenses against individuals who previously lived in a household among those for which the penalty for Assault or Aggravated Assault would be enhanced.

 

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007 and apply to offenses committed on or after that date.

 

It is assumed that the bill would not significantly affect the operations of state or local government.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
