FROM: | John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | SB1566 by Patrick, Dan (Relating to the creation of the Texas Bleeding Disorders Advisory Council.), As Introduced |
The bill would establish the Texas Bleeding Disorders Advisory Council. The bill would require the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to provide administrative support to the Council. The bill would require the Council to report on its finding and recommendations by December 1, 2008 and would require the Commissioner of the DSHS to report on efforts to implement the recommendations. It is assumed DSHS could absorb any costs related to providing administrative support and implementing the recommendations of the Council.
The bill would allow for reimbursement for council members for certain expenses. Reimbursement would not be permissable without specific authorization in the General Appropriations Act.
The Council is abolished and the provisions of the bill expire September 1, 2009.
