IN RE:
SB1621 by Van de Putte (Relating to financial assurance required of certain recycling facilities.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would increase financial assurance requirements for recycling facilities to cover potential fire-fighting costs. The amount of financial assurance required would be based on the amount of combustible material stored outdoors.
Although there could be some costs to the Commission on Environmental Quality in reveiewing financial assurance for recycling facilities, these costs are not expected to be signficant.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
