No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the enrollment of certain children and recipients of medical assistance in group health benefit plans.

Based on the analysis of the Employees Retirement System, Texas Department of Insurance, and Health and Human Services Commission, the bill would not have a significant fiscal impact and any duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
