No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code and repeal sections of the Transportation Code to make changes in criteria for eligibility to obtain an occupational driver's license, and what actions would be required by a judge in granting an occupational driver's license for persons that have committed certain offenses.

The bill would apply only to an occupational driver's license applied for on or after September 1, 2007, which is the effective date of the bill.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
