No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to electronic publication of legal notice, as defined.  The bill would direct the Office of Court Administration (OCA) to contract with a provider to provide Internet postings of legal notices at no cost to the State and in accordance with proposed guidelines.  According to OCA, the requirements of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources; therefore, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
