No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to limit the number of hours per year that a part-time fire protection employee may work in duties related to fire suppression. The bill would take effect September 14, 2007.
Local Government Impact
The limitations could result in some fire protection agencies having to increase staff; however, no significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
