IN RE:	SJR39 by Patrick, Dan (Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for a local option election in Harris County to set a limitation of not less than three percent on the maximum average annual increase in the appraised value of residence homesteads for purposes of ad valorem taxation by each political subdivision in the county.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.

The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $77,468.

In the absence of authorizing legislation, the amendment would not affect the finances of the state.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
