IN RE:
HB1627 by Chavez (Relating to the provision of state death benefits to certain federal law enforcement officers and special agents who assist state and local law enforcement agencies in this state.), As Introduced


HB 1627 would update the name of the employing agencies for certain employees of the Department of State Health Services or Department of Aging and Disability Services who are eligible for state death benefits.  The bill also would provides state death benefits to a federal law enforcement officer or special agent who is performing duties in this state to assist a state or local law enforcement agency of this state.  The bill, if enacted, would have no actuarial effect because it does not propose to change the funding or obligations of any public retirement system.
