TO: | Honorable Vicki Truitt, Chair, House Committee on Pensions & Investments |
FROM: | John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB2190 by Truitt (Relating to eligibility to serve as executive director of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas.), As Introduced |
HB 2190 would remove the requirement that to serve as executive director of the Teacher Retirement System, a person must be a resident of the state for the three years preceding the person’s appointment. The bill, if enacted, would not have a significant actuarial effect because it does not propose to change the funding or obligations of any public retirement system.
