SB750 by Deuell (Relating to the creation of the Office of State Inspector General.), As Introduced

As a result of this bill there will be a restriction upon:

(1) the open records law;
(2) the access to government information.

Under the provisions of the bill a final report on an audit or investigation issued by the Office of the Inspector General is subject to required disclosure. However, all information and materials subpoenaed or compiled during an audit or investigation conducted by the office are considered confidential and are not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code.

Information submitted by a managed care organization to the office is considered confidential if the information relates to any financial or other business relationship between the organization and any subcontractor providing health care services under the contract. This information is not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code.
