Pursuant to a notice posted on March 15, 2007, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, at 8:09 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representatives Brown, Betty; Gallego; Garcia (3).

 

A quorum was present.

The bill was left pending without objection.

 

At 9:58 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:00 p.m. or upon adjournment, March 20, 2007.

 

The committee reconvened with a suspension of the rules to meet during the reading and referral of bills at 1:00 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller. The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representative Gallego (1).

Representative Hefin, Joe moved that HB 2458, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
