Pursuant to a notice posted on January 29, 2008, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, at 1:03 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Miller; Anderson; Brown, Betty; Aycock; Heflin (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Gallego; Garcia (2).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The Committee heard invited testimony on interim charge #5,

Examine the opportunities for increased economic development funding in rural Texas.

 

The Chair laid out the interim charge before the committee.

Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 3:35 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
