Pursuant to a notice posted on September 10, 2008 and revised on revised on September 15th, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller, at 10:04 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Miller; Anderson; Brown, Betty; Aycock; Heflin (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Gallego; Garcia (2).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The Chair laid out Interim Charge #4 and #6 before the committee.

 

Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 11:54 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:00 p.m., October 1, 2008.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:00 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Miller. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Miller; Anderson; Brown, Betty; Aycock (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Gallego; Garcia; Heflin (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The Chair laid out Interim Charge #4 before the committee.

 

(Representative Heflin now present.)

At 4:22 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
