Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule and an announcement from the House floor on February 13, 2007, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kolkhorst, at 7:56 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Kolkhorst; Branch; Crownover; McClendon; Otto (5).

 

Absent:              Representative Brown, Fred (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 9:59 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until adjournment of the House on February 15, 2007.

 

The committee reconvened at 12:35 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kolkhorst. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Kolkhorst; Crownover; McClendon; Otto (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Branch; Brown, Fred (2).

 

A quorum was present.

At 4:06 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
