Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 17, 2007, and a suspension of the House Rules for permission to meet during reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Woolley, at 1:55 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Representative Woolley moved to place the following measures:

HB281; and

 

on the Constitutional Amendments Calendar for  Thursday, April 19, 2007:  HJR54; and

 

on the General State Calendar for Thursday, April 19, 2007:  HB1489, HB2136, HB1022, HB589, HB1668, HB2400, HB1962.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Woolley; Branch; Crownover; Dukes; Guillen; Hamilton; Taylor; Turner; Van Arsdale (9).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Chavez; Elkins  (2).

 

Representative Woolley moved that the following measures not be placed on the calendar at this time:  HB1290.
