Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 16, 2007, and a suspension of the House Rules for permission to meet during reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Woolley, at 5:31 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Woolley; Chavez; Dukes; Elkins; Turner; Van Arsdale (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Branch; Crownover; Guillen; Hamilton; Taylor (5).

 

A quorum was present.

Representative Woolley moved to place the following measures:

on the Major State Calendar for Friday, May 18, 2007:  SB909; and

on the Resolutions Calendar for Friday, May 18, 2007:  HCR138, HCR155.

 

The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Woolley; Chavez; Dukes; Elkins; Taylor; Turner; Van Arsdale (7).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Branch; Crownover; Guillen; Hamilton  (4).

 

At 5:33 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
