CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On April 24, 2007, the House Committee on Civil Practices authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Civil Practices held on April 18, 2007. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on April 13, 2007, and a suspension of the 5-day posting rule, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, Byron, at 4:08 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Cook, Byron; King, Phil; Miller; Raymond; Woolley (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Strama; Madden; Martinez Fischer; Talton (4).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HCR 138

 

The chair laid out HCR 138 as pending business.

The bill was left pending without objection.

 

HB 3281

 

The chair laid out HB 3281 as pending business.

 

Representative Cook, Byron offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative King, Phil to explain the measure.

 

Representative Miller moved to adopt the committee substitute to HB 3281.  The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Miller moved that HB 3281, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Cook, Byron; King, Phil; Miller; Raymond; Woolley (5).

 

Nays:                             None (0).
