Pursuant to a notice posted on May 8, 2007, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, Byron, at 12:30 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

The chair laid out SB53, the companion to HB 1830.
Representative Raymond moved that SB53, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair laid out SB 1269.
Representative Raymond moved that SB 1269, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
