Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 5, 2007, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Madden, at 10:40 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representatives McReynolds; Haggerty; Oliveira (3).
A quorum was present.
HB 1888
Representative Hochberg laid out HB 1888 as pending business.
Representative Hochberg offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Hochberg moved that HB 1888, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays: None (0).

Representative Jones, Delwin offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
