Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 14, 2007, and permission to meet while the House is in session pending receipt of Senate messages and reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Smith, Wayne, at 6:30 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Smith, Wayne; Bolton; Coleman; Farabee; Harless; Heflin; Leibowitz (7).
Absent: Representatives Naishtat; Smith, Todd (2).
A quorum was present.
At 6:31 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 10:00 p.m., May 14, 2007.
The committee reconvened at 10:26 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Smith, Wayne. The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Smith, Wayne; Naishtat; Coleman; Farabee; Harless; Leibowitz; Smith, Todd (7).
Absent: Representatives Bolton; Heflin (2).
A quorum was present.

The chair recognized Representative Smith, Wayne to explain the measure.

Representative Smith, Todd moved that SB 792, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Smith, Wayne; Naishtat; Bolton; Coleman; Farabee; Harless; Heflin; Leibowitz; Smith, Todd (9).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: None (0).
At 10:37 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
