On March 8, 2007, pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and permission to meet while the House is in session during reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pena, at 11:47 a.m.

Representative Pena moved that HB 587, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
