Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 10, 2007, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Berman, at 12:05 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representative Anchia (1).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1385.

 

The chair explained the measure.

 

The chair moved that SB 1385, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          None  (0).

 

SB 1776

 

The chair laid out SB 1776.

 

The chair explained the measure.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 1776, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
