Pursuant to a notice posted on February 16, 2007, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hardcastle, at 8:01 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hardcastle; Farabee; Corte; Gonzalez Toureilles (4).

Absent:              Representatives Crownover; Chisum; Crabb (3).

A quorum was present.

 

The committee heard invited testimony from the Railroad Commission of Texas.

(Representative Crabb now present.)

 

At 8:24 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:30 p.m., February 22, 2007.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:40 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hardcastle. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hardcastle; Crownover; Crabb; Gonzalez Toureilles (4).

Absent:              Representatives Farabee; Chisum; Corte (3).

A quorum was present.

 

The committee heard invited testimony from the following state agencies:

• Railroad Commission of Texas

      (Representative Farabee now present.)

• Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

      (Representative Farabee in chair.)(Representative Corte now present.)

• Department of State Health Services

      (Representative Hardcastle in chair.)

At 2:20 p.m., on the motion of Representative Corte and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
