Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 14, 2007, the House Committee on Financial Institutions met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Solomons, at 2:15 p.m.

The chair recognized Representative Solomons to explain the measure.
Representative Solomons offered an amendment to the committee substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.

The committee substitute, as amended, was adopted without objection.
The chair directed the clerk to incorporate the amendments into a committee substitute.
Representative Chavez moved that HB 716, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
