Pursuant to a notice posted on October 17, 2008, the House Committee on Hurricane Ike Devastation, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, at 9:00 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Turner; Davis, John; Deshotel; Dutton; Eiland; Hamilton; Harless; Olivo; Schwartz, A. R. "Babe" (9).

 

Absent:              Representatives Bonnen; Riddle; Smith, Wayne; Taylor (4).

 

A quorum was present.

At 1:03 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:20 a.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Turner; Davis, John; Bonnen; Deshotel; Dutton; Eiland; Hamilton; Harless; Olivo; Schwartz, A. R. "Babe" (10).

 

Absent:              Representatives Riddle; Smith, Wayne; Taylor (3).

 

A quorum was present.
