Pursuant to an announcement on the House floor on May 14, 2007, and being granted permission to meet while the House is in session pending receipt of Senate messages and reading and referral of bills, and a suspension of the 5-day posting rule for SB 828 on May 14, 2007, the House Committee on Insurance met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Smithee, at 6:42 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representatives Taylor; Martinez, "Mando"; Thompson; Woolley (4).
A quorum was present.

Representative Smithee offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Smith, Todd moved that SB828, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays: None (0).

At 6:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
