Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 14, 2007, and being granted permission to meet while the House is in session pending receipt of Senate messages and reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Dutton, at 6:23 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Dutton; Bolton; Gonzalez Toureilles; Hernandez; Strama (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Eiland; Farias; Farrar; Vaught (4).

 

A quorum was present.

 

SB 74

 

The chair laid out SB 74 as pending business.

 

The chair explained the measure.  The chair closed on the measure.

 

Representative Bolton moved that SB 74, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Dutton; Bolton; Gonzalez Toureilles; Hernandez; Strama (5).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Eiland; Farias; Farrar; Vaught  (4).

 

At 6:25 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
