Pursuant to a notice posted on August 11, 2008, the House Select Committee on Property Tax Relief and Appraisal Reform met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Otto, at 1:12 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Otto; Darby; Flynn; Gattis; Heflin; King, Tracy O.; Quintanilla; Taylor (8).

 

Absent:              Representatives Paxton; Elkins; Flores; King, Phil; McClendon (5).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Rep. Quintanilla welcomed the committee to El Paso and welcomed the audience to the meeting.

At 6:08 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
