Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 11, 2007, the House Committee on Public Education met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Eissler, at 11:14 a.m.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 603.

 

Representative Olivo offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Patrick to explain the measure.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Patrick moved that SB 603, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Eissler; Branch; Hochberg; Olivo; Patrick (5).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).
