Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 11, 2007, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Delisi, at 12:01 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representative Olivo (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HJR 90

 

The chair laid out HJR 90 as pending business.

 

Representative Delisi offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Jackson, Jim moved that HJR 90, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Delisi; Jackson, Jim; Cohen; Gonzales; King, Susan; Truitt (6).

 

Nays:                             Representative Laubenberg (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:     Representative Coleman  (1).

The chair laid out HB 2439 as pending business.

 

Representative Cohen moved that HB 2439, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
