Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 3, 2007, the House Committee on Regulated Industries met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Phil, at 12:08 p.m.

The chair explained the measure.
Representative Swinford moved that SB 1430, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Crabb; Oliveira; Smithee (3).

The chair laid out SB 831.
Representative Straus offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Straus to explain the measure.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Swinford moved that SB 831, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
