Pursuant to a notice posted on April 10, 2008, the House Committee on Regulated Industries met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Phil, at 8:58 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives King, Phil; Christian; Crabb; Smithee; Straus; Swinford (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Turner; Hartnett; Oliveira (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Wind Generation & Transmission Planning in Texas

 

The chair laid out the issue of wind generation & transmission planning in Texas.

 

Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 12:09 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
