Pursuant to a notice posted on May 14, 2008, the House Committee on Regulated Industries met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Phil, at 10:13 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives King, Phil; Christian; Turner; Crabb; Oliveira; Swinford (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Hartnett; Smithee; Straus (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Electric Market in Texas

 

The chair laid out the issue of the electric market in Texas.
