Pursuant to a notice posted on March 23, 2007, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Swinford, at 1:29 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Swinford; Christian; Farrar; Flynn; Parker; Veasey (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Paxton; Van Arsdale; Cook, Byron (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on March 23, 2007, the House Committee on Border & International Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Tracy at 1:29 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives King, Castro, Frost, Hardcastle, Hernandez, Merritt, Pickett (7).

 

Absent:              None (0).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Chair King, Tracy and Chair Swinford gave opening remarks.

 

Invited testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

At 12:27 a.m., on the motion of the chairs and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chairs.
