Pursuant to a notice posted on August 20, 2008, the House Committee on State Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Swinford, at 2:12 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Swinford; Van Arsdale; Cook, Byron; Flynn; (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Paxton; Christian; Farrar; Parker; Veasey (5).

 

A quorum was not present.

 

Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 5:13 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
