Pursuant to a notice posted on April 5, 2007, the SUBCOMMITTEE ON HOUSING, of the full Committee on Urban Affairs, of the Texas House of Representatives, met in a PUBLIC HEARING, and was called to order by the Subcommittee Chairman, the Honorable José Menéndez, at 8:06 a.m.

The roll was answered as follows:

                                    Representative Mallory Caraway (2).

 

Absent:                        Representative Murphy (1).

 

A quorum was PRESENT.

In the absence of Representative Bohac, the bill's author, the Chair recognized Subcommittee Chairman Menéndez to explain the measure.

At 10:41 p.m., the SUBCOMMITTEE was RECONVENED at the same location as earlier in the PUBLIC HEARING and was called to order by the Subcommittee Chairman.

HOUSE BILL No. 3627--CONSIDERATION CONTINUED

 

As PENDING business from earlier in this PUBLIC HEARING, the Subcommittee Chairman again laid out HOUSE BILL No. 3627 (with SUBSTITUTE).

 

TESTIMONY on this bill RESUMED.  (See attached witness list.)

 

The Subcommittee Chairman recognized Representative Rodriguez to close on the measure.

 

The Subcommittee Chairman moved to RECONSIDER the vote by which the COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE was ADOPTED and, without objection, the COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE was WITHDRAWN.
