Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Administration was held on Friday, May 4, 2007, in the Betty King Committee Hearing Room, 2E.20, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:47 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

The chair laid out the recommended list for the May 8, 2007, Local and Uncontested Calendar.  The following bills were removed from the recommended list: SB 623, SB 822, SB 1023, SB 1175, SB 1738, HB 239, HB 770.   Senator Seliger moved that the May 8, 2007, Local and Uncontested Calendar be certified; the motion passed with a record vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays and 3 absent.

 

 

There being no further business, at 9:55 a.m. Senator Brimer moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
